This Privacy Policy describes how Moatscope ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Service.
2. Account Data
When you create an account, we collect your email address, a hashed password (or OAuth identifier if you sign in via a third party), and basic profile settings. We use this data to authenticate you, provide the Service, and communicate about your account.
3. Portfolio and Research Data
When you add tickers, watchlists, or portfolio holdings, we store that information so we can generate AI research and insights for you. Portfolio data is associated with your account and is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising. We may process this data with our AI service providers strictly to generate the research outputs you request.
4. Payment Data
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or bank credentials on our servers. Stripe provides us with a customer identifier, subscription status, and limited billing metadata (such as the last four digits of your card and country) so we can manage your subscription. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. If we enable product analytics, we use them only to understand aggregate usage patterns (page views, feature usage, and errors) and never to build advertising profiles. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
6. Data Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us operate Moatscope (hosting, database, payments, AI model providers, email delivery), and only as needed for them to perform their services. We may disclose information if required by law.
7. Data Retention
We retain account and portfolio data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
8. Your Rights

9. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS in transit and encryption at rest for account data. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password.
